Hazard elimination
Remove or reduce occupational health and safety risks at source wherever reasonably practicable.
Fitness for duty
Ensure personnel are medically fit, rested and competent for the tasks and environments assigned.
Worker consultation
Involve inspectors and safety representatives in risk assessment and safe-working decisions.
Incident reporting
Report and investigate injuries, near misses and unsafe conditions to prevent recurrence.
Safe systems of work
Provide clear procedures, equipment and supervision for boarding, working at height, confined-space and cargo operations.
Management accountability
Hold line managers responsible for health and safety within their areas.
